12/7/2023 0 Comments Mage tower nerf before bfaAnd while I agree that the tuning might be difficult, the fact that they're nerfing certain components indicates that they're aware of how much artifact boosts and bonus abilities played a part, even if some of those have returned in SL as talents or runecarving powers. Skill check as in if you couldn't match or outgear, it was difficult. Besides, they messed up the stat squish in this exp, making BfA content much stronger, I wouldn't trust them to balance this properly (could have been faceroll for some or way harder than it used to be). Anyway, it wasn't anything great, not sure why people are missing it. At some point it wasn't doable, if fight lasted too long. Even with executing proper tactic, it required to have certain numbers, it eventually became doable over the course of expansion. I did mage tower back then, but wouldn't consider it a skill check, it was more like a gear check. No artifact powers, tier set bonus or those little things that empowered artifacts. Balance has changed since then and we no longer have same spells/abilities as back then. Keeping same skill check might be impossible. Same as Elite sets and Gladiator mounts - you should've played when they were available and taken a shot at them. Legion Artifacts are no longer relevant and they are deactivated, we're done with them it's history now. I don't want people who got the Aritifact appearances on only 1 class, and many didn't even do all specs, to have a chance at obtaining them for all classes, fu'ck that. I started playing Legion 5 months before BFA and only did MT on my DK, no complaints at all. Nah, new rewards is exactly the way it should be done. I also think that if they can make that work, they could potentially do so with other expansion Timewalkings. That keeps it at a personal skill level check rather than over gearing it, which from observation has been the primary complaint (on these forums at least), and is a fair concern. I know it's an unpopular opinion with some that were around during Legion and got the appearances then, but if they kept the Mage Tower tuned for the current top gear for when Legion Timewalking comes up in the rotation, then the appearances should be obtainable. While Blizzard may bring back the Mage Tower during Legion Timewalking in the forthcoming patch, chances are we won’t see any of the removed appearances that came with it. Failure to stamp out a rune before it expires results in the player taking 336 185 Shadow damage. Runic Detonation - The caster creates several runes on the ground that can be stamped out by running through them.Hurl Axe physical school damage reduced from 73 to 40.Ancestral Knowledge - Fel power courses through Runeseer Faljar's veins, shielding him from 560 308 damage, casting interruption, and all Crowd-Controlling effects. For example, the Mage Tower challenge, where you must defeat Sigryn ( The God-Queen's Fury) received the following changes/nerfs: In addition to the new spells, many Mage Tower boss abilities received tuning. Teleport to Dual Boss Scenario Free could be related to the double boss Mage Tower Challenge ( Thwarting the Twins).Teleport - Imp Mother's Den could be a reference for An Impossible Foe.Teleport to Healer Scenario Free probably references the Healer-only scenario.Teleport - Twisting Nether could be a reference to the tank's The Highlord's Return challenge.Teleport to God Queen Scenario likely references The God-Queen's Fury.We speculate that some of the teleport spells added in Patch 9.1.5 Build 40078 might be related to Legion's Mage Tower. Note that Blizzard hasn't officially confirmed anything, and this post is purely based on datamining and speculation. New teleport spells and old ability tuning hint at the possible return of the Mage Tower in Patch 9.1.5.
